Asteroid Base

For a change, I designed a large structure: a starbase carved in a large asteroid. The orange part is the large docking bay area, where ships too large for the interior can dock. The diameter of the inner bay is more than 400 meters, to give you a sense of scale.

Parizhskaya Kommuna -part I

The Парижская коммуна (Parizhskaya Kommuna) battleship is one of the oldest ships displayed in the blog. It was the first battle torchship that was gas-giant and even Kuiper-belt capable -albeit at slow speed. Later reclassified as coastal battleship then monitor, it was with its sister-ship Октябрьской революции (October Revolution) a class of its own until the Chinese launched the similar Ting Yen class (the United States initially opting for smaller vessels).
