Mini Starships series #7

Below are some twin-aspect ships.


Those ships' basic philosophy is that ships need a different profile/aspect to cruise and another to fight. So they use two sets of engines and stances, one for each purpose.


When they travel, the ships move like the picture above, with their large economical drives engine, and their lasers/ lidars facing forward for scanning purposes. When engaging hostiles, the ships turn around and move sideways facing the enemy: the side burst-engine allows the ship to slide and jerk in the perpendicular axis to the hostile target.


In the case above, the target would be towards the bottom right of the screen.
